Employees Achieve Certification as EECP Technicians

Saline Heart Group employees, Lori Chaloner, Melissa Gassaway, Brittany Chrestman, and Stacie Griffin recently completed a rigorous, formalized training program - and have been certified as EECP technicians.

EECP is a type of external counterpulsation therapy that improves cardiac performance and sometimes eliminates the need for bypass surgery or stenting.  While much of the therapy is automated - EECP technicians have been trained to "fine tune" the machine for each specific patient - allowing each patient to have individualized therapy.  Eighty percent of patients have been shown to exhibit significant clinical improvement (improved walking distance, exercise tolerance, and reduction/elimination of angina).

Congratulations to these dedicated employees for all their hard work and effort.

Saline Heart Group is a provider of high level cardiology services to the Saline County community.  They are located at 5 Medical Park Drive, Building B, Suite 306 on the campus of Saline Memorial Hospital.
